Robert Torres believes that in order to bring back Pomona, we need to focus on attracting new businesses and building more economic development. He also understands that we need to do more to support the businesses that have been in the city for generations.

 

Robert Torres is best known for fighting to negotiate a $1,500,000 agreement between the Los Angeles County Fair Association and the City of Pomona. The agreement would allow the Fairplex to host new entertainment events and the city would receive revenue for neighborhood improvements.

Recently, Robert Torres has redirected over $110,000 of CARES Act funding to help businesses impacted by COVID-19. He has also supported city policies that enhance city staff efficiency and expedite the approval process for economic developments.
